2008 Spotlights Coming Soon!

masi

April 16 , 2007
Masi brand bicycles are in the second year of support of Inferno's A&F Pro Development Cycling Team, and its initial year of the new Track Team's sponsorship.

Located in Vista, California, Masi and Haro Bicycles have been a leader in forefront of many cycling disciplines for many, many years. Tim Jackson, Masi Brand Manager for Haro Corporation became involved with Inferno after meeting company heads at the annual Interbike convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ensuing relationship has launched vehicle to take both the A&F Pro Development Cycling Team and Masi bicycles to the professional level.

Masi donates all of the team's machines, including Coltello track frames, Coltello Aero time trial/multi-sport frames and the team's flagship ride, the 3VC Volumetrica road racing frames.

This spotlight brings us to perhaps one of our most diligent sponsors: Masi Bikes and the Masi Brand Manager, Tim Jackson

In all honesty, Tim might as well be an employee of Inferno Racing, LLC. He has not only committed bike sponsorship to the team, but has become our biggest PR agent! You may have seen media in print (Bicycling Magazine or ROAD Magazine), through online media (Cycling News.com, Pez Cyciling News.com, Bicycle Retailer.com, and Velo News.comto name a few), or via numerous other outlets. Well, this is the work of none other than Tim Jackon of Masi Bicycles.

Tim and Masi supply the team with numerous materials needed to compete at the top amateur and professional level. Such items include multiple frame sets for each rider (Masi Gran Criterium, 3VC Volumetrica, and some
fortunate enough to ride the super secret TT/Tri frame), component groups (Shimano 10 speed), bar tape and just about any odd and end one might need as a bike racer. In addition, Tim has become a true friend and confidant for ALL members of the team. This makes for a VERY effective and dynamic sponsor/team relationship. We are very lucky to have him on board for this and years to come.

Masi has been in the professional road business for countless years and has recently been acquired by Haro to form a major distribution force for the Italian frame company. You may remember the Faliero Masi name from the infamous movie Breaking Away (where the Masi Gran Criterium was the frame of choice!), or from multiple Olympic and World Champion athletes who were
victorious aboard a Masi made bicycle.

For more on Tim, visit The Masi Guy at www.masiguy.blogspot.com and information on the wonderful machines used by the team and sold by Masi can be viewed at www.masibikes.com.

The partnership was formed early and the pedal creator has supplied Inferno's athletes with multiple pedals since the programs inception.

The A&F Team can be seen utylizing the "egg beater" based pedals on all official team bikes. See www.crankbrothers.com for in depth information on Crank Brothers pedals.

Spinergy is the team's longest standing sponsor and contributor. The clan has been with the team since its original state as a cycling club based in Cleveland, Ohio, from which Inferno Racing was born.

Chris McLaren, Director of Sales and Marketing for Spinergy, stated "When Inferno was initiated, it sounded like a great idea. It is non-profit and competes and show-cases at the highest level of the sport. We are proud to partner with the program!"

Spinergy contributes all of the team's road racing wheels and is the official wheel supplier to Inferno racing. The team is set to ride on a full line of the product including xAero Lite, Stealth PBO, Stealth PBO FCT and even a product testing Stealth PBO FCC. Stay tuned for the 411 on the performance.

kenda

March 3 , 2007
Kenda Tire USA will again be the official supplier of tires and tubes for the A&F Pro Development Cycling Team campaign. Kenda has again agreed to donate all needed tires and tubes for the entire 2007 season, which is a true asset to the program.

The riders all used Kriterium and Kontender Lite L3R Pro Iron Cloak tires and Race Lite tubes during the team's pre-season training camp in Macon, GA. The tread on both tires proved to be grippy in all weather conditions and were able to handle a variety of pressures.

For more information, please visit www.kendausa.com.

jagwire

February 8 , 2007
Jagwire USA will be the official supplier of shifting and braking accessories for the Masi machines ridden by the A&F Pro Development Cycling Team. All cables, housing, adjusting mechanisms, brake pads and paint guards will be donated and supplied to Inferno's top team from a company with an edge.

Jagwire is already the OE supplier to SRAM components, which the A&F Team will be using throughout the 2007 racing season. Since the team is already riding componentry that is speced with Jagwire, it only seemed a natural fit to Jason Grantz of Jagwire, and A&F team boss, Chad Thompson.

For more information on available products from Jagwire, please click here.

A&F

March 4 , 2007
Abercrombie & Fitch are not only the A&F Pro Development Cycling Team's title sponsor, but the programs largest charitable contributor. The team's title name is not actually used as marketing for A&F. Abercrombie actually donates all financial backing to the team via their philanthropy department to support three charities in one (the team's amateur athletics program, the Junior Donation Nation program and Team Type 1 diabetes charity).

Both A&F and Inferno are proud to continue supporting the above mentioned in 2007 and hope to raise additional support for all of the charities and programs involved.

Be sure to pick out the winter camo clad riders at your favorite event, as well as donate to the cause of your choice!

September 13, 2006
Cool clothes, hot models, a young image, a bold website and great retail stores make for one very cool sponsor!

Not much needs to be said about A&F, as they have been a staple in the retail clothing industry for many years and only become more fashionable and successful with each passing year.

A&F has not only helped this program become a reality in 2006, but is helping to keep it as such. Abercrombie has again supported Inferno's team and charity efforts for 2007 as a supporting sponsor. Keep your eyes peeled for the ongoing efforts of cycling's top athletes donning A&F gear.

Thank you Abercrombie & Fitch!

paceline

April 12 , 2007
Paceline Products return as a long time supporter of Inferno's non-profit program. Paceline donates its flagship product, Chamois Butt'r, to the A&F Pro Development Cycling Team.

What is it? It is a skin lubricant designed to eliminate chaffing from chamois rub. It also aids in the healing of issues created from long days in the saddle and can be used as a water barrier as well.

"We actually put this on our legs, too, during rainy days. It keeps us both warm and dry." says team VP, Ryan Rish. "It is not an endorsement, it is simply a tested fact."

Thank you, Paceline, for your continued support of our non-profit mission! Check out Paceline's full offerings at www.pacelineproducts.com.

Tom Coleman, owner and founder of Wobble-Naught, and the services his company provides are invaluable to say the least.

Not only does Wobble-Naught supply the team with sponsorship and services, but Tom attended Team A&F's second winter training camp, held in Rural Hall, North Carolina, to insure each athlete was to the proper fit and his liking (Tom is a perfectionist - Ed.).

While at the camp for five days, Tom provided each and every rider with a Wobble Naught precision laser fit, the appropriate stem lengths and seat post configurations (provided by Thomson; Rep. David Parrett was also on the scene with a box of goodies) that mated with our Masi machines.

Each "precision laser fit" takes approximately three hours per athlete to perform. This is due to the measurement of every boney structure of the rider, cleat fixation and implementation of the actual computer generated measurements vs. the laser lighting while on a stationary trainer. Quite a task, but well worth it. Most riders found an immediate improvement in RPM and wattage output (most experiencing approximately an eight to ten watt power gain at ninety RPM.).

It did not stop there. While the remaining fits were being done by Wobble Naught fit pro, Jim Baldesare, Tom was placing each rider through Myo-Facts and EMG. These processes involve live/real-time videography and electrodes that show the riders actual pedal stroke and muscle firing efficiencies. It amazed most riders how ineffectively we were actual pedaling.

Once the stroke was visible, Tom fine-tuned and coached each and every athlete into the "proper" and most efficient pedal stroke. Again, more power and RPM increases were immediately evident.

All that can be said is "AMAZING!" We cannot thank Tom enough for his efforts, involvement and passion for our team. Please visit www.wobblenaught.com for full details. Thanks, Tom!
